The POP colours of Chiara Moranduzzo

Everyday reality takes shape in a “surreal” world through her drawings. Chiara Moranduzzo lives in Bolzano where she works as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, a city that has always made her dream and is a huge source of inspiration for her.
Olimpia Zagnoli, Antonio Colomboni, Cecilia Castelli, Giulia Hartz and Elenza are just some of the artists that she esteems and follows very much, and with whom she feels she has a common language of communication. Her dream is to totally dedicate herself to creative and stimulating projects, that always tickles her imagination!
“I love to bring liveliness vibrancy to the drawing, giving a hint of lightness with the use of bright colors and POP style!”
The first word that comes naturally in association with Chiara is eclectic. Her illustrations are an explosion of colors and vitality.
PINK – BLUE – ORANGE – YELLOW are her faithful allies, but at the same time playmates to highlight contrasts and complementarities. Clean lines, essential and minimalist style: the leitmotif of her drawings is the representation (in a funny way) of the female body and food.
In fact, it is striking and astonishing her ability to transform food into real integral parts of the depicted bodies, where there is no distinctive line between beginning and end.
“My illustrations tell about accurate stories but at the same time they seem to encapsulate different messages and distant inspirations.”
