The poetry of the seasons in the illustrations of Maria Marega

“Everything around us is poetry and memories, like the sweet sound of a music box”

Maria Marega  has always loved everything that touches creativity and this has been the fuel of her path: she attended the ” Accademia di Belle Arti” of Venice and now she defines herself very lucky to be able to made her passion became a real job!

A memory is hidden in each of her illustrations (as in a music box), representing small situations that she observed in her hometown, Padua, the place that inspires her.

Essentiality is the key word to express her lifestyle and her form of artistic expression: climbing and the moments spent outdoors are for her a source of energy and, at the same time,  allows her to focus on everything she does, continuously seeking the essential in and around her. 

“I think it is a real blessing to understand that we can delete everything that is superfluous from our lives, devoting instead ourselves to what most excites and stimulates us.”  

To realize her magnific illustrations she always uses watercolors, who have always been her faithful allies. In her latest illustrations Maria has approached the digital world, which allowed her to simplify the process in the editing phases. Her trait can be defined as POETRY,  looking beyond things with a feeling of awareness and at the same time with nostalgia.
