Feebuh: A small boutique of tailor-made book
Hi Francesca, tell us what is Feebuh and where does your idea come from? I was born as a Graphic Designer, but the need to get away from the computer led me to discover more and more the “paper” part of graphics. After several attempts in the printing industry I understand that my passion was directly working with the paper as a bare material. Here came my idea of creating a small company that works with paper in its noblest form. So today Feebuh creates books of all kinds, trying to give a modern touch to the concept of a book itself through special bindings (Coptic, singer, Japanese and many others …) all carefully studied in the combination of materials and colors. All work is handmade in Veneto 😉
What are you passionate about this work? The fact that an idea takes shape becoming real and also seeing the smile of people at the delivery time… IS DEFINITELY PRICELESS!
How has the relationship with the printers evolved? Feebuh is a small company, but it is in contact with large leading companies in the Italian market, including Fedrigoni and Favini. Our selection is focused on papers produced in a sustainable way with recycled materials and that at the same time follow the trends. We pay attention to use only recyclable materials that comes most of the times from recycled sources; the reuse therefore contributes to make our products unique and different every time.
What does this project represent for you? Feebuh for me is like “eating”, it gives me joy! I believe that paper and therefore the act of writing will remain forever… we can’t say the same about digital! I also believe that people, especially in this moment, have a great desire to return to excitement in a world that goes way too fast!
